how to read body language

The ability to read body language is nearly as important and understanding the language in which you are spoken to, get it wrong and the consequences could be

If you see anyone using gestures like these it should be your cue to talk to someone else, this man is desperately giving you the signal that hes so bored hed relish the idea of bone marrow transplant than talk any further with you.

Likewise, this man has other things on his mind, see how he cant stand still, hes pretending to take a call now, and will take the first opportunity to bugger off even if hes no where to go.

If you are particularly bad at reading what people arent saying then you may witness behaviour like this, you are so boring that this man has given up ignoring you and gone down the path of blatant sarcasm, hes agreeing with everything you say regardless of how irrelevant, obtuse or stupidly aimless your argument is.

Conversely, some people are so delighted that you may stop for a chat that their enthusiasm spills over into the lunacy pot, if you are the corroborator of such neglectful deportment, its worth remembering that the subject will hardly notice if you wander off pressing your fingers in your ears and singing Radioheads Creep.

Anyone displaying such unsubtle moves like these is probably either extremely worried about something, and perhaps you might want to ask them what it is, or simply a mental loony fruit-banana that would actually benefit from a course of horse tranquillisers

Say what you will to this character, hes too busy thinking about his penis or the size of his inheritance to waste a moment of his glory on your reckless confabulation. Smug people are easy to spot, boring to talk to but satisfying to punch.

Before trying to engage anyone in conversation, make sure they are not busy already, this man may be alone but you can clearly see he has all the company he needs, with his spilt personality

Although this subject looks relaxed, standing with his hands in his pockets hes actually annoyed with you at the moment, and hes going to come over, and punch your lung off.

I hope you find some entertainment in this video.

I do, you can see different emotions in them. There too many big actors than the film actors. In life many of us act. If you start observing, then you shall realize how many are leading a normal life and how many are leading an artificial life.

You will also realize how many have forgotten to smile.

You will also observe that many show their depression, disappointments in life on their face.

You can also find people with lots of desires.

You can find people with lots of lust

Life is a big book, if you really want to see, you can look around there is lot to learn. It teaches you all the principles of life.

Many of us concentrate only on the cloths or their body structure but fail to notice the expressions. For a change you do it once and come back to answer me.

Finally my question: Have you done readings like this. Do you observe people, do you read body language. Do you read the facial expressions?
I think people are mistaking and taking the question in a different angle. I am here not talking about gazing at opposite sex (lust). When we go to public places, we do see people (we don’t close our eyes)…common….

When you normally observe the dress, make up etc….. I asked you whether you observe their expressions and what tehy say….

The first thing that i was reminded of when i viwed this Q was this – ( plss do read it..its a 4 month old Q and read my ans. )

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aks9tiR_PkrXeOY9xup6c1Pty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080124013634AAMYJOk&show=7#profile-info-xyNKZvCWaa

I am a very observant person by nature.. not today.. but as a child also i was very observant.. when i went to my sister’s frriends’ parties… i wouldn;t understand a words maybe but i loved to observe the expressions on ppl’s faces…

One thing i love to do most..and i often do.. is that i try to notice if the smile of the person is genuine or artificial… and one can actually make this out.. many times u see girls who r sooooo conscious abt their looks and make-up that they behave in total artificial manner.. they smile sooo artificially…. on the other hand there r ppl who r soo relaxed and at ease with life.. they reallyy smile with ther heart.. even laugh out loud !! …some of them smile in such lovely natural way that even u who is just watching them, will feel like smiling !!

It comes naturally to me..to observe expressions.. it has been in me always… and yes, if u can see someone close to u.. maybe if u r talking to someone.. eyes r the best mirrors.. u can see it in their eyes how much they r feeling wat they r saying… its quite clear in eyes…

As u mentioned there r all types of ppl everywhere.. and its great to see so many different kinds… some r really not so nice to observe, coz they r so stern or angry or something !
On the other hand, some of them r sooo happy… peaceful and have such calm expressions…

Whenever i see some differently abled person ( handicapped is not a good word to use ) i often see so much strength, confidence and a huge inspiration to live life beautifully on their faces… i feel sooo happy.. i feel extremely inspired…

I agree..one shud always observe.. with lil observations we can know alot !! and as u said as an additional detail.. observation is not looking with some bad intention or motive… its simply seeing wat the person in front is like in reality… and its gr8 to observe it !!

excelletn Q… we r too similar brother !

Help me out.
I need to identify by the body lanuage of the person
if he is lying or not.
Here’s the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aG0gpvSYA8
Fast forward to 0:56 and then 1:25.
Thanks :)

At :56, he looks damn serious. Look at the way he’s looking intently at whoever he’s talking to for most of the time he’s talking – he’s being persuasive, and he’s good at it. He looks pretty determined. I think he’s telling the truth there. At the beginning (around :56-59) he looks down a bit, but I think it’s because he’s just pissed about how many times he has to repeat the same thing and how annoying it is, but he doesn’t want to be a a** about it.

As for 1:25…there’s nothing really to lie about there, eh? He’s just talking about how they don’t have a Myspace and stuff. He’s just commenting on all the nutso stuff that people say, and I don’t think he’s lying.

I once took a class in body language. The instructor said:
(1) We should learn to control our body language so that we can consciously use body language that indicates we’re telling the truth.
(2) If we don’t learn to control our body language, we might unconsciously use liar’s body language even when we’re telling the truth.
(3) We should learn to read body language so we can tell whether other people are telling the truth.

Does anybody else see the contradiction here? An untrained person who’s telling the truth might be using liar’s body language. A trained person who’s lying might be using truth-teller’s body language.

I think we should study body language, but only so that we can catch our own unconscious prejudices that are formed based on other people’s body language. We need to judge people on their words and actions , not on their twitches and gestures. As for controlling my own body language to re-assure body language readers, I would rather just avoid associating with people who are more interested in my gestures than in my words.

I completely agree with you. There are some things that we should just let be. We can’t let ourselves become so wrapped up in analyzing ourselves and other people.

If you’re having a conversation, you can’t be analyzing so much how either of your bodies are moving because it would distract you from the conversation – being so analytical kind of kills it.
